Job description

Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for a permanent, full time Technical Sales Representative in Co. Kildare.

This is a field sales role - 3 days on the road across Ireland.

Conduct on-site visits across Ireland to maintain existing client relationships and develop new partnerships.

Manage sales calls, prepare quotations, and carry out follow-ups to meet revenue and margin objectives.

Identify potential new business opportunities and lead technical sales conversations with customers.

Support product trials, demonstrations, and testing to ensure successful implementation.

Provide excellent customer service by handling complaints and coordinating aftersales follow-up professionally.

Offer technical support and address technical queries from customers and partners.

Work closely with internal engineers and suppliers on machine design and quotation preparation.

Coordinate minor machine servicing and ensure efficient delivery of aftersales support.

Participate in quality reviews and contribute to continuous improvement processes.

Negotiate pricing and gross margin (GM) structures with management and secure approvals.

Stay up to date with trends, technologies, and competitor activity within the packaging industry.

Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and updates on key performance indicators.

Collaborate with office and logistics teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment.

Support overall account management, including CRM maintenance and pipeline monitoring.

The Person
  • Proven experience in sales or technical sales, ideally within the packaging, machinery, or manufacturing industry
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, client engagement, and solution-based selling
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Technically inclined with the ability to explain product features and service solutions
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable managing your own schedule
  • Willingness to travel across Ireland (including Northern Ireland)
