A utilities organization is seeking a Technical Safety Specialist in Limerick to provide health and safety support, manage lab activities, and ensure risk assessment compliance. Candidates should have a diploma in Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work, with 5+ years of experience. This is a 12-month contract with potential for extension. Qualifications

Job description

Ayrton Group are seeking a Technical Safety Specialist to join our client, a large utilities organisation, on an ongoing project. This role will be based out of the client’s Limerick office and lab, but will require weekly travel to other locations for site/lab visits and meetings.

This is a 12 month contract role with the potential for further extension.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing ongoing Health and Safety support.
  • Managing day to day labs.
  • Approval of Risk Assessments / Operational Procedures.
  • Ensuring Risk Assessment / Operational Procedures are in line with Safety Management System.
  • Visiting various labs and sites as required, weekly.
  • Documentation Management, including version control, change management and controlled distribution.
  • Provide reports on output and relevant information for reporting up the line.
  • Provide support in the delivery of other related Health and Safety projects.
  • Set high standards, by encouraging others to embed a HSQE culture.
  • Perform other duties as required from time to time.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma in Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar position.
  • Previous experience on Utilities projects is preferred.
  • Varied experience in other sectors such as Construction would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience in report writing and collation of information for KPI’s, safety metrics, presentations etc.
  • Strong ability to prioritise tasks, work with schedules, and manage resources while remaining focused on main goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
  • Full driver’s license and vehicle.
