Clearer is redefining how we build and ship an AI-assisted commerce product for Shopify merchants. You’ll own how work moves from an agreed PRD to production across Clearer, Boost, REVIEWS.io and our AI/ML team, designing human-in-the-loop pipelines and removing bottlenecks.

You’ll join a small Product Delivery team reporting to the VP Product, ensuring alignment with the VP Engineering, QA, and our AI/ML team. The role is focused on Clearer for the first six months, then reviewed.

Clearer is our biggest bet, and we're changing how we build it. AI agents now draft PRDs, write code, generate tests and keep Jira in order. You'll turn that into fast, reliable delivery, with people in charge where it counts.

Clearer is our agentic commerce product for Shopify merchants, built on Boost and REVIEWS.io. You'll own how work gets from an agreed PRD to production across Clearer, Boost, REVIEWS.io and our AI/ML team. You'll design the human-in-the-loop pipeline, find what's slowing us down this week, and clear it.

This isn't a status-reporting job. If you'd rather automate a status report than write one, we'd like to talk to you.

You'll join Product Delivery, a small team within Product, reporting to our VP Product. You get Clearer built and ready to release. Our Programme Manager gets it launched and adopted. Product Managers own what we build and why, and Engineering Managers own sizing and dates. You make their plans fit together and keep them honest. You'll work closely with Clearer's PMs, our VP Engineering, engineering managers, QA, our Chief Architect and our AI/ML team. The role is dedicated to Clearer for at least the first six months, then reviewed.

What You'll Do

• Own one delivery plan for Clearer, so everyone sees the same initiatives, epics and dependencies across every team. It's generated from Jira, not slides.
• Spot and clear dependencies before they block anyone, especially as engineers move from Boost onto Clearer.
• Run the readiness gates, so no epic enters a sprint unready. Settle disputes with evidence.
• Measure flow and improve it. Track lead time, cycle time, PR wait time, rework and escaped defects. Every fortnight, name the bottleneck and the fix. As agents speed up coding, expect the wait to move to review, QA and decisions.
• Own the human-in-the-loop map. Know which level of automation each stage runs at, from assist to autonomous, and where the human gate sits. Move a stage up only when the data says it's safe, and make sure every automated step has an owner, an audit trail and an off switch.
• Build delivery agents with Product Operations, so status updates, Jira hygiene and release notes stop being anyone's manual job.
• Connect the pipeline, so a strong PRD flows into well-formed stories, AI-generated tests (Claude and Playwright) and release, with as few handoffs as possible.
• Run planning and raise risk early. Lead capacity and quarterly planning and the release calendar, and bring slippage to our VP Product with options attached, before it becomes a surprise.

your first six months

• By 30 days: you've mapped every live Clearer initiative, its dependencies and its owner. You've baselined lead time, cycle time and carryover, and named the top three bottlenecks.
• By 90 days: the readiness gates are running, so no epic enters a sprint unready. You've published a human-in-the-loop map with agreed targets, and status reporting is off people's plates.
• By 180 days: Clearer's lead time from idea to live is down by an agreed margin. The roadmap hits 70% confidence for next quarter and 50% for the one after. At least two pipeline stages have moved up a level of automation, with quality holding steady.

• Automate first. If you do a task twice, you build the agent for it.
• Make the system visible, not yourself. You create clarity, not meetings.
• Bring evidence. You settle disagreements with data on flow and readiness.
• Hold the line. You push back on unready work, kindly and firmly, whoever's asking.
• Own the outcome. Shipped and working matters more than a plan that's on track.
• Share what works. You help PMs, EMs and QA adopt the standard, and bring what you learn to our AI Guild.

What You'll Bring

• 4+ years in technical project, programme or delivery management in a SaaS product and engineering team, across several squads at once
• Enough technical depth to read a PR, follow an architecture conversation and challenge an estimate, and to know how CI/CD, test automation and APIs fit together
• Hands‑on use of AI agents in your own work (Claude, Claude Code, GPT or similar), including at least one automation you built yourself
• Expert Jira skills, from hierarchies and automation to JQL and dashboards. You'd sooner fix the system than work around it
• Confidence using flow metrics to change how teams work, not just to report on it
• Clear, concise writing that works across time zones. Our teams span the UK, Ireland, Vietnam, Australia and North America

Nice to have

• Experience with an AI-assisted SDLC, such as AI-generated tests, Playwright, MCP or agent orchestration
• A background in eCommerce or the Shopify ecosystem
• Time in a scale‑up or PE-backed business with shared engineering services
• Exposure to R&D tax or capitalisation tagging
