Technical Marketing Manager

Our client has been a world leading supplier of biosecurity & infection control products. Their dedication to Innovation has been a driving force behind their success. With approx. 1,700 employees across 120 countries, they are committed to driving a significant health impact globally.

They are currently seeking a Technical Marketing Manager to join an experienced commercial team to support them with technical queries & innovation. This is a full‑time permanent position. The ideal person must have a Degree in Science with 4‑5 years Technical Marketing experience and be a self‑starter with strong collaborative experience. The successful person shall be reporting to the R&D Manager and will be supporting a strong sales team globally across various industry sectors from water purification for human consumption, to agriculture to medical devices.

Role/Responsibilities:
  • Building relationships with clients to provide relevant technical information to support sales growth.
  • Provide technical marketing support to the commercial team in securing new business opportunities globally.
  • Attend customer meetings, conferences and exhibitions globally to provide product technical support.
  • Design and implement technical training programmes for business partners as required.
  • Contribute to blogs, podcasts and other social media activities in a technical capacity.
  • Actively pursue collaborations in academia and other relevant industry and professional networks to support growth.
  • Research current market trends, products and technologies for analysis.
  • Liaise with internal departments to provide support and advice for business partners. This would include for example: 1. advice on monitoring laboratory or field studies, 2. feedback on the stage of progress of current projects, 3. competitor product evaluations, 4. technical assessment of new sources of raw materials.
  • Search for and collate testing data from academic literature and other sources.
  • Revise and maintain data within technical reports.
  • Assist with writing product claims and developing marketing literature.
  • Conform to Company and other regulatory requirements with respect to cGMP, health & safety, etc.
  • Engage continually in developing world class practices to maximize efficiency.
Education/Experience:
  • Scientific qualification (Degree) in life science discipline.
  • Proven track record of collaboration with senior level teams within a highly regulated industry (e.g. Chemicals, Food or Pharma).
  • Ability to articulate clearly when dealing with external bodies.
  • Ability to use sound judgment to make effective decisions within appropriate timeframes.
  • Proven to be self‑directed, self‑motivated and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • The ideal candidate will be a self‑starter with the ability to work on their own initiative and within teams.
  • Excellent ability to deliver results, with strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
