Job summary

Saffery LLP in Dublin is seeking a committed Irish tax adviser (CTA) with at least 3 years PQE to join our city-centre tax team. You will deliver high-quality advisory services across wealth planning, M&A, inbound/outbound planning, IP migration, and VAT matters for a diverse client base in the media sector.

You will mentor junior staff, support business development, and work in a flexible hybrid environment that balances client service with work-life balance.

Qualifications

  • Qualified CTA with at least 3 years PQE.
  • Experience with clients in the Creative Sector is advantageous.
  • Strong technical and organisational skills.
  • Previous tax manager or senior manager experience in practice is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality tax advisory services on wealth planning, M&A, inbound/outbound corporate tax planning, IP migration and exploitation.
  • Provide expert Irish tax advice to our film and TV client base.
  • Advising inbound businesses and individuals on setting up in Ireland.
  • Managing the corporation tax, income tax, and VAT affairs of a varied client base.
  • Providing mentorship to junior staff, and work on attracting, developing, and retaining the best talent for the firm.
  • Involvement in business development and marketing initiatives.

The role

Our tax team are currently hiring for a unique and exciting role in our Dublin city centre-based tax team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing team in a flexible environment which values work-life balance, working on a hybrid basis.

Our clients include all of the major Hollywood Film Studios, many leading independent film production companies, and some of the largest Television Production companies in Ireland, the UK and the USA. The successful candidate will be joining a team with deep expertise and strong client relationships in the media sector, and advising the clients in the film and TV industry will be a significant part of the role. We also advise non-film and TV clients, across and number of industries, as well as high net worth individuals and their families across a number of tax heads.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering high-quality tax advisory services to clients on a wide range of issues including wealth planning and structuring for high-net-worth individuals, M&A, inbound/outbound corporate tax planning, IP migration and exploitation.
  • Providing expert Irish tax advice to our significant film and TV client base.
  • Advising inbound businesses and individuals on setting up in Ireland.
  • Managing the corporation tax, income tax, and VAT affairs of a varied client base.
  • Providing mentorship to junior staff, and work on attracting, developing, and retaining the best talent for the firm.
  • Involvement in business development and marketing initiatives.
The team

The Dublin Office currently has 25 staff members. You will have support from current Partners, Directors, Senior Managers, Managers and Assistant Managers, alongside Senior Associates, and Trainees. Our team was recently awarded the prestigious Advisory Team of the Year award at the Irish Accountancy Awards.

You
  • The ideal candidate will be a committed and ambitious Irish tax adviser (qualified CTA) with at least 3 years PQE and excellent technical and organizational skills.
  • Experience of working with clients in the Creative Sector would be an advantage, though not essential provided the candidate had a track-record of delivering a high standard of client service and dealing with complex technical work. A natural team player is essential, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Previous experience at tax manager or senior manager level in practice, preferably in a Top 20 firm.
