Job summary

PwC in Dublin is seeking a ambitious Corporate Tax trainee/consultant to join our expanding tax practice. You will work on a challenging and evolving client portfolio and have opportunities to progress to manage your own portfolio.

You will advise on business structuring, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border expansion, financing and tax audits, coordinating with foreign offices. The role supports client relationships, business development and consultancy projects while embracing digital

Qualifications

  • AITI qualified / part-qualified with 1-2 years’ corporate tax experience.
  • Effective working knowledge of Corporation Tax in Ireland or internationally.
  • Enthusiasm to work with our broad range of clients, to understand their businesses and work with them to address and manage risk.
  • Desire to learn and to apply the knowledge you gain from the regular training sessions we hold on topics that will impact our clients’ businesses
  • Business Acumen - use a wide selection of tools and techniques to extract insights from current trends in the market and utilise this information to assist your clients in making innovative business decisions.
  • Relationship management - ability to read situations and modify behaviour to build quality, diverse relationships.
  • Creative - demonstrate an ability to contribute to new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Team player with a passion to coach and encourage others to achieve their potential.
  • Ambitious – demonstrate strong commitment to personal learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Working on a challenging, evolving and varied client portfolio, with excellent opportunities to develop into the management of your own portfolio.
  • Advise clients on business structuring, mergers and acquisitions, cross border expansion, financing, tax audits etc.
  • Co-ordinate advice from foreign offices on cross-border matters
  • Embracing the digital transformation being undertaken in our business. Being motivated to familiarise yourself with these evolutions and to drive these technologies further in our day-to-day business and that of our clients.
  • Assisting in the ongoing management of client relationships, business development and participating in various consultancy projects.
  • Utilising the flexible working environment with efficient management of personal assignments, while reporting to a team of experienced senior managers, directors and partners.
  • Development of your own career. With sustained levels of growth in our tax practice, you will have an excellent opportunity to progress and specialise.
  • Mentoring and coaching trainees, promoting autonomy to make a difference and deliver results.
