Job summary

Byrne Wallace Shields LLP in Ireland is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our tax team. You will support Associates, Senior Associates and Partners on tax compliance and advisory matters for Irish and international clients.

The ideal candidate is Chartered Accountant or Chartered Tax Advisor, with experience in tax consultancy or compliance, strong communication and time management, and the ability to prioritise.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant/Chartered Tax Advisor (or similar accounting/tax/legal qualification).
• Experience in tax compliance and/or tax consultancy services.
• Confidence in dealing with people with excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Self-starter with ability to use initiative and to prioritise with excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Working with Associates/Senior Associates/Partners to manage client relationships.
• Handle tax compliance and consultancy assignments for corporate clients.
• Answer tax queries from clients and respond to internal/external technical queries within time frames.
• Liaise with Revenue on behalf of clients and respond to Revenue interventions.
• Undertake technical tax research to answer client queries.
• Ensure high quality and efficient service delivery on client projects.
• Responsible for billing and collection of funds from clients.
• Assist in developing and delivering seminars/webinars.
• Assist on new proposals and identify business development opportunities.
