Job summary

Dornan Engineering in Cork invites an experienced Talent Acquisition Resourcer to join our ambitious TA team in a hybrid Cork office. You will support end-to-end recruitment for engineering and construction projects across Ireland and the UK, helping to strengthen our employer brand and candidate experience.

Key duties include sourcing candidates, screening applications, interviewing, reference checks, inductions, and maintaining accurate records with GDPR compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in talent acquisition, preferably in construction or engineering.
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards and ATS.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced recruitment environment.
• Excellent organisational and administration skills.
• Proactive sourcing and networking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review applications and determine candidate suitability for interviews or rejection.
• Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, databases, referrals and social platforms.
• Maintain accurate candidate records in the internal database and update statuses.
• Screen CVs and applications against job requirements.
• Conduct initial candidate telephone or video screenings.
• Obtain references and complete reference check forms.
• Coordinate and schedule new hire inductions.
• Ensure compliance documentation, certifications and training records before induction booking.
• Develop talent pools to support current and future hiring needs.
• Advertise vacancies on job boards and recruitment platforms.
• Proactively build candidate pipelines for upcoming vacancies.
• Research TA trends to improve processes and ensure GDPR compliance.
• Develop relationships with candidates to enhance employer brand and candidate experience.
• Support recruitment campaigns, job fairs and talent attraction initiatives.

Dornan Engineering is a well established and leading Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and HVAC engineering and construction company, with major project experience across a wide range of sectors in Ireland, Europe and the UK.

Dornan are involved in projects across many sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Power, Waste to Energy, Commercial, Data Centre and Petrochemical.

Due to the continuous growth with Dornan Engineering, we are currently looking to recruit an experienced Talent Acquisition Resourcer to join the company.

You will join Dornan's hard working and ambitious Talent Acquisition team where you will benefit from a supportive culture, where your ideas and contributions will be recognised.

Your day to day will include:

• Review applications and determine candidate suitability, progressing applicants to either interview stage or rejection following TA screening.
• Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, databases, referrals, and social media platforms.
• Maintain accurate candidate records in Internal database, updating applicant statuses following contact attempts, screening discussions, and interview outcomes.
• Screen CVs and applications against job requirements.
• Conduct initial candidate telephone or video screenings.
• Obtain references for each successful hire, completing reference check forms and uploading them to internal system.
• Coordinate and schedule new hire inductions.
• Ensure all required compliance documentation, certifications, and training records are completed and received prior to induction booking.
• Develop and maintain talent pools to support current and future hiring requirements.
• Advertise vacancies on job boards and recruitment platforms.
• Proactively build candidate pipelines for upcoming vacancies and workforce requirements
• Researching talent acquisition trends to improve the process
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, GDPR, and company recruitment policies.
• Develop relationships with candidates to enhance the employer brand and candidate experience.
• Support and represent recruitment campaigns, job fairs, networking events, and talent attraction initiatives.

About You:

• Previous experience in a Talent Acquisition Resourcer role, ideally in construction or engineering industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and ATS systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced recruitment environment.
• Excellent organisational and administration skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proactive sourcing and networking abilities.
• Position based in Cork Office / Hybrid working.
