Job summary

Muiríosa Foundation, Day Services in Longford, seeks a motivated Support Worker to assist individuals with an intellectual disability to lead a good life aligned with their interests and choices.

The role focuses on enabling participants to engage with their communities, develop meaningful relationships, and experience new activities, while working within person-centred and individualised support frameworks. Sleepover and variable hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with intellectual disability to realise their vision for a 'good life'.
• Lead initiatives to help individuals live a life of their choosing and what matters to them.
• Help individuals become connected and valued within their local community and provide opportunities for new experiences.
• Assist each person in developing real and authentic relationships.
• Support person-centred planning and individualised support approaches.
• Be available for day and sleepover shifts as required and work alone in residents' homes.
