Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Management Intern to gain hands-on experience within a research-driven biopharmaceutical environment.

The role involves supporting Supply, Demand, and Product Management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain reliable supply chains for both commercial and pipeline products. You will engage in IBP and IPT planning, learn ERP and MES integration, and contribute to financial tracking and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field.
• Interest in gaining experience in a related field, ideally in a manufacturing setting adhering to GMP standards.
• Proficiency in numeric skills and data analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the supply chain process, including Supply Management, Demand Management, and Product Management.
• Support the IBP process to optimize production schedules and fulfill customer orders timely and accurately.
• Help ensure the IPT meets production schedules and efficiently schedules technical engineering development work.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders, SAP stewardship, and MES to ensure supply chain connectivity.
• Assist with financial planning by tracking performance against budgetary targets and regulatory requirements.
• Develop skills in ERP systems, inventory management, report writing, project management, stakeholder management, and vendor management.
• Develop skills in data analysis and modelling.
• Foster collaboration onsite and across the network with a customer and patient-focused approach.

• Assist with financial planning activities by tracking performance against budgetary targets and maintaining awareness of regulatory requirements.
• Develop skills in ERP systems, inventory management, report writing, project management, stakeholder management, and vendor management.
• Develop skills in data analysis and modelling.
• Foster collaboration both onsite and across the network, with a customer and patient-focused approach, while striving for continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

• Interest in gaining experience in a related field, ideally in a manufacturing setting adhering to GMP standards.
