Job summary

GxP Recruitment seeks an experienced Supplier Engineering Supervisor/Lead to plan and execute day-to-day activities in the supplier engineering function. You will lead and coach a team of engineers, ensuring work aligns with plans, procedures and priorities while supporting supply chain continuity and material risk mitigation.

You will provide technical leadership, ensure FDA/ISO quality system compliance and collaborate with product development to deliver projects within budgets.

Qualifications

• Honours Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ relevant professional experience, ideally in medical device or regulated manufacturing.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organised, results-driven and able to manage competing priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and process-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee supplier engineering activities to support supply chain objectives and materials VIP execution.
• Set priorities, schedule work and allocate resources to meet production needs.
• Develop and coach team members to ensure proficiency and career development.
• Provide technical leadership and act as SME within your area of expertise.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO and internal quality and regulatory requirements.
• Support qualification of second-source suppliers and execution plans for VIPs.
• Resolve supplier-related line-down issues to maintain business continuity.
• Interface with product development and cross-functional teams to provide supplier engineering support.
• Deliver projects within agreed expense and capital budgets.
