Job summary

BaxterStorey in Dublin is seeking a dedicated Supervisor to lead a busy catering team, ensuring top service standards and smooth daily operations. You will coach staff, manage shifts, monitor stock, and support client requests while upholding health and safety standards.

A passion for hospitality and excellent English are essential. The role emphasizes training, budgeting, event support, and delivering memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the day-to-day operations of a busy catering environment focusing on team members roles
• Support daily operations
• Monitoring the training needs of the team and supporting where needed
• Hold team meetings on a regular basis to communicate targets, standards required and company and client information
• Work with the LocationManager'sbudgets; achieve and maintain Health & Safety and Food Standards in accordance with the budget and standards of BaxterStorey
• Develop and evolve all client’s services at the location, ensuring regular adjustments and improvements are both recommended and implemented
• Complete weekly stock takes
• Take and manage event bookings where required
• Assist with opening and closing procedures. Ensure that all units are prepared for daily operations and securely closed at the end of the day.
• Handle cash and banking.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Have experience in a Supervisorrole ideally in contract catering or hospitality
• Good understanding of report writing and financial management.
• Possess excellent supervisory and communication skills
• Good delegation and influencing skills
• Able to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem-solving
• Have the ability to display a real passion for food and customer service
• Must have good written and spoken English
