Job summary

Arcadis in Ireland offers a hands-on internship or 12-month placement for Civil or Structural Engineering students and graduates. You will work on real projects, shadow professionals, and develop technical skills through structured training and diverse project exposure.

You should graduate in 2025–2027 with a 2:2 and demonstrate resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, and teamwork while communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• You will be graduating in 2027 or have recently graduated in 2025 or 2026, with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor degree.
• You will be working towards a degree in a relevant subject (Placement & Intern only).
• You will demonstrate Arcadis' skills including resilience, creativity, analytical thinking and being a team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist with drawings, models, calculations, and technical reports.
• Support data collection, document preparation, and project administration.
• Participate in project meetings and coordination activities.
• Learn company standards, engineering processes, and digital delivery tools.
• Support site visits and surveys where appropriate.

Role description:

Our paid Intern & Placement programme is designed to give you a hands‑on insight into the work we do as a company and help to develop skills and knowledge within your chosen field. Supported by signposted training, the programme is based on Arcadis' core values, giving you both technical training and support to help you develop both personally and professionally whilst with us. You will be exposed to real projects and clients and given a range of experiences to immerse yourself into over the course of your 10-12-week internship or 12-month placement.

Accepted Degrees: Civil or Structural Engineering

Qualifications & Experience:

• You will be graduating in 2027 or have recently graduated in 2025 or 2026, with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree
• You will be working towards a degree in a relevant subject (Placement & Intern only)
• You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player
• You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (where possible we embrace virtual working)
