Job summary

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences or equivalent.
• Approximately 7 years of laboratory experience with at least 3 years in direct management within QC Microbiology.
• Strong background in environmental monitoring and clean utility monitoring programs.
• Experience leading microbiology method qualification and launch readiness.
• Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities, with diverse high-performing teams.
• Knowledge of Annex 1, FDA, HPRA, JP, WHO regulatory expectations for sterile products.
• Strategic thinking to manage long-term projects like lab digitalization.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of QC Microbiology laboratories, ensuring safe, compliant testing.
• Recruit, coach and mentor a high-performing QC Micro team.
• Support Contamination Control Strategy and align site controls with regulatory guidelines.
• Review and approve GMP documentation and microbiology reports.
• Plan resources, headcount, equipment, and budgets for the lab.
• Represent QC Micro during regulatory inspections and internal audits.
• Coordinate with production, engineering and supply chain to avoid delays.
