Job summary

Research Ireland seeks two permanent Programme Officers to support the effective delivery, administration and monitoring of research programmes and partnerships. You will contribute to programme development, implementation and review while managing stakeholder relationships.

The role offers autonomy within established procedures, with external-facing duties to engage researchers, policymakers and partners, advancing Research for Society initiatives and public engagement goals.

Qualifications

• Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
• 3 years relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail.
• Sound project coordination or project management capability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyse information, solve problems and apply judgement.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, delivery and administration of projects across the full lifecycle from ideation to conclusion.
• Coordinate programme preparation, implementation, and review processes including peer review and documentation.
• Monitor progress, budgets, deliverables, compliance and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate inputs from internal teams and external stakeholders, escalating issues when needed.
• Organise meetings, workshops and events and prepare materials and records.
• Maintain accurate programme data, records and reporting information.
• Contribute to continual improvement of programme processes, systems and ways of working.
• Operate in accordance with policies, governance and quality standards.
