Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Director for Mine Water & Water Resources to lead a portfolio of global mining projects from our UK and Ireland offices. You will act as a technical authority, guiding concept models, water balances, flood risk, and hydraulic studies while steering multi-disciplinary teams through feasibility, permitting and detailed design.

The role requires Chartered status or equivalent and a proven track record in mine water management, hydrology and water resources, with emphasis

Qualifications

Significant experience in mine water management, hydrology or water resources.
Proven track record leading complex technical projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong knowledge of water management infrastructure and flood risk assessment.
Experience supporting major mining projects through feasibility, permitting and design.
Proven ability to manage project finances, resources and commercial performance.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership across mine water, hydrology and water resources projects.
Act as technical authority on mine water management and water resources across projects.
Lead development and review of site models, water balances, flood risk and hydraulic studies.
Direct multidisciplinary teams through feasibility, permitting, design and operational support.
Champion climate resilience in engineering and water management solutions.
Build and maintain client relationships and support strategic account development.
Lead bids, tenders and proposals and pursue new opportunities.
Ensure project governance, quality, risk and commercial performance.
