Job summary

The Department of Health in Dublin is seeking an Assistant Secretary – Health Infrastructure to provide strategic leadership for planning, governance and delivery of the State's health infrastructure and digital health agenda.

The role oversees the Health Capital Programme, ensuring robust appraisal, assurance and delivery for major infrastructure and Digital/ICT investments in line with Government policy and the Sláintecare reform agenda.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to translate Government policy and strategic investment priorities into deliverable programmes with clear governance and accountability.
• Experience leading complex national programmes involving infrastructure, digital transformation, or large budgets.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and with senior stakeholders to drive reform and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for planning, governance and delivery of health infrastructure and digital health initiatives.
• Oversee the Health Capital Programme with robust appraisal, assurance and delivery arrangements for major investments.
• Engage with HSE, government partners and stakeholders to drive system transformation and improved patient care.
