Stripe in Dublin, Ireland is hiring for a Forward Deployed Engineer to shape features beyond out-of-the-box Stripe integrations. You will build standalone apps deployed in user environments, and extend Stripe's ecosystem with priority features.

This role involves owning projects, taking direction, and collaborating with Product & Engineering to deliver fast and resilient connections to Stripe for strategic users.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional, hands-on full-stack development with JavaScript/TypeScript/React, Ruby, Go, or Java.
• Experience with backend infrastructure and scalable systems.
• Proven ability to design, build, and deploy production applications.
• Excellence at rapid prototyping while maintaining quality.
• Familiarity with containerized apps and OO languages.
• Strong problem-solving and business understanding.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust technical solutions that are secure and scalable.
• Design, build, and deploy production apps combining business logic with Stripe patterns.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders bridging technical and executive teams.
• Drive direction of the Forward Deployed Engineering arm and contribute to projects.
• Engage with users to understand challenges and co-develop solutions.
• Contribute tooling and best practices that scale across accounts.
