Job summary

Ekco is seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our growing team in Ireland. You will bridge business needs and technology, working with sales, clients, and delivery teams to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud and infrastructure solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive enterprise infrastructure experience across major cloud providers, strong networking and security knowledge, and hands-on IaC proficiency.

Qualifications

• Design enterprise infrastructure and cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with hybrid cloud, cloud migration, modernisation and digital transformation projects.
• Experience designing networking solutions including routing, switching, SD-WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and network security.
• Knowledge of identity, authentication, and access management solutions (Active Directory, Entra ID, Okta or equivalent).
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles including Zero Trust, endpoint protection, identity security, SIEM, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance.
• Experience with automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or CloudFormation.
• Understanding of cloud governance, cost optimisation, licensing, and commercial considerations.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and solution design skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the presales technical lead, engaging with customers to understand objectives and transformation goals.
• Design and present end-to-end solutions across multiple technologies including public cloud, hybrid architectures, and security.
• Produce high-quality solution designs, project scopes, resource plans, and cost estimates.
• Deliver architecture workshops, technical demonstrations, and PoC engagements.
• Support delivery teams to ensure solutions align with architecture and governance.
• Collaborate with account managers, vendors, and partners to ensure commercial viability and technical deliverability.
• Produce technical documentation including proposals, diagrams, and implementation guides.
• Stay current with cloud innovations, networking trends, and cybersecurity developments.
