The Smart Grid Solutions team is seeking an experienced Systems Applications Engineer to help develop and deploy next-generation sensing, monitoring, and analytics solutions for the evolving electrical grid. As a member of the applications team, you will play a key role in bridging customer needs with ADI technology and product development. Working across hardware and software domains, you will engage directly with customers, partners, and internal engineering teams to define requirements, develop proof-of-concept demonstrations, support system integration activities, and help commercialize innovative solutions. The role is primarily focused on system-level hardware applications, including sensing, instrumentation, embedded platforms, and grid monitoring solutions. However, successful candidates must also be comfortable supporting software integration, configuration, and troubleshooting activities as customers deploy complete ADI solutions into their environments. You will contribute throughout the product lifecycle, from early customer engagements and technology evaluation through proof-of-concept development, system validation, customer deployment, and production support. The role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while working at the intersection of customers, products, and emerging energy technologies.
Ability to travel internationally to customer, partner, and ADI locations as required (approximately 20%). Comfortable working in laboratory, industrial, and utility environments. For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
