Saint John of God Community Services Liffey Region supports individuals with intellectual disabilities to be active participants within the community that they live. Saint John of God Community Services Clg., Liffey Services invite applications for the post of Staff Nurse based in the Dublin South West area to provide support to individuals with an intellectual disability.

Staff Nurse - Day Services

Permanent, full time contract

The successful candidate must:

• Be on the current register as maintained by NMBI (formerly An Bord Altranais) and preferably possess the RNID or RGN qualification
• Have experience and motivation for working with adults with an Intellectual Disability
• Commitment to support development and delivery of Person Directed Plans
• Commitment to engaging with the local community and exploring options for adults within their community
• Proficiency in using computers (Word, Excel)

Desirable Experience:

• Experience as a registered nurse working with people with an intellectual disability and positive behavior support
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexible in all aspects of work
• Full clean manual driving license and a willingness to drive as part of the role
• Working a part of a multi-disciplinary team
