Job description
Staff Grade Occupational Therapist - Dublin

Senior or Staff Grade Occupational Therapists required by CPL Healthcare, in partnership with the HSE, for opportunity to work as part of the Occupational Therapy Team and the wider Health and Social Care Professionals providing rehabilitation to older persons in St Mary's Hospital, Phoenix Park, Dublin 20. There are currently 101 beds in this service. There is onsite professional supervision available and CPD structure within the department with a strong focus on individualized learning and growth as a therapist.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and review of treatment / intervention programmes for service users according to service standards
  • Collaborate with service users, family, carers and other staff in treatment / intervention planning and in the provision of support and advice
  • Plan discharge or transition of the service user between services as appropriate
  • Document all assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, reports and discharge summaries in accordance with local service and professional standards
The candidate:
  • A recognized qualification as an Occupational Therapist with CORU registration
  • Permission to work in Ireland
  • Professional approach to work
  • Flexibility in work practice
  • Manual handling training completed
  • To be eligible for Senior OT must have minimum of three years experience working with older adults
