Excel Healthcare in Dundalk is recruiting a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist (Acute) to join the Older Persons Rehabilitation team. You will provide patient-centred OT services to support independence and recovery in older adults, working in a multidisciplinary setting within Dundalk Hospital.

Qualifikationen

• BSc in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent recognised qualification).
• CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working with older persons / geriatric rehabilitation (desirable – recent graduates are welcome to apply).
• Full driving licence and access to a car (desirable).

Aufgaben

• Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessment and intervention for older adults in rehabilitation.
• Promote independence in activities of daily living and functional gain.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to plan and deliver rehabilitation programmes.
• Conduct home assessments and support safe discharge planning.
• Educate patients, carers and staff on falls prevention and activity safe-usage.
• Coordinate discharge and liaise with external services to ensure continuity of care.
