Job summary

Qualcomm Ireland currently seeks a GPU Engineer in Cork to architect, implement, verify and optimize GPU cores for high-performance graphics while maximizing power efficiency. You will collaborate across teams to push graphics capabilities and drive driver/compiler software development for Qualcomm GPUs.

The role requires an advanced degree and 2+ years of GPU experience, with leadership exposure and the ability to influence technical directions in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of GPU experience.
• 1+ year interacting with senior leadership (Director level and above).
• Experience in technical leadership with direct reports (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, verify, and/or optimize the performance and power of GPU cores.
• Build functional model simulations, develop software, and test graphics for verification.
• Design, program, and run graphics tests using benchmarks to verify functionality, performance, and stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external users to align with needs.
• Develop driver and compiler software to support GPU products.
• Write technical documentation and feature descriptions for complex GPU projects.
