Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Project Manager based in Ireland.

This remote role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of software project delivery from initial planning through release. You’ll coordinate developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to keep projects progressing against clear timelines and expectations. The position combines hands‑on project management, requirements clarification, delivery tracking, risk management, and release coordination. You’ll play a central role in identifying blockers early, driving recovery actions, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the development lifecycle. Success requires strong organization, communication, and follow-through, along with the confidence to manage scope and changing priorities. It’s an ideal opportunity for an experienced project manager who enjoys working closely with technical teams and ensuring software projects are delivered reliably and on time.

Accountabilities:
  • Own software projects end to end, from planning and execution through release and delivery.
  • Build and maintain detailed delivery plans with clearly defined tasks, owners, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Track project progress regularly, identify potential delays or risks early, and drive appropriate recovery actions.
  • Work directly with developers and QA teams to resolve blockers, maintain momentum, and ensure delivery remains on track.
  • Clarify requirements with business stakeholders and translate them into clear, actionable development tasks.
  • Manage project scope and change requests, assessing and communicating their potential impact on timelines and delivery.
  • Plan and coordinate software releases, including readiness checks and alignment with QA.
  • Provide clear and timely updates on project status, risks, decisions, dependencies, and delivery progress to stakeholders and management.
  • Maintain strong coordination across technical and business teams to ensure priorities and expectations remain aligned.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of professional project management experience, with experience in any industry considered relevant.
  • Proven experience personally managing software development projects from planning through release.
  • Hands‑on experience creating and maintaining delivery plans, monitoring progress, and following up on delays or outstanding tasks.
  • Direct experience collaborating with developers, QA professionals, and business stakeholders on requirements, blockers, scope changes, and delivery priorities.
  • Strong organizational, follow‑up, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to take ownership, proactively identify delivery risks, and drive projects forward with limited supervision.
  • Previous experience as a software developer or data engineer is a plus.
  • Experience managing data, analytics, or AI projects is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote position.
  • Full‑time employment opportunity.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end software project delivery.
  • Close collaboration with developers, QA professionals, and business stakeholders.
  • Exposure to software development and potentially data, analytics, or AI projects.
  • Opportunity to contribute directly to successful releases and business outcomes.
