Job description

We have an opportunity for a Senior Advanced Supplier Quality Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in Dublin, where you will be responsible for leading improvement of supplier quality, productivity and safety for assigned suppliers to reduce Supplier PPM and improve deliveries to HubCo sites, to approve and develop new and existing suppliers through Honeywell Supplier Common Assessment to required levels of performance expected by Honeywell and lead qualification of parts manufactured by suppliers, Qualifying parts / products via PPAP process, and Support the tooling health initiatives through evaluation of tool condition on-site at suppliers. This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Site Quality, and Category Manager organizations to enhance growth and quality at preferred suppliers.
  • Oversee supplier qualification through the Honeywell Supplier Common Assessment process and manage part approvals using the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Monitor supplier productivity performance and implement initiatives for improvement; interface with multiple departments to drive quality enhancements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for major quality issues using 8D Reports, along with utilizing data analytics to prioritize key concerns.
  • Lead cross-functional teams for new supplier qualification and first article qualification, while also evaluating tools at suppliers and acting as a stand-in for the HubCo quality manager when needed.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Possess effective problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills to lead others and drive organizational change.
  • Have a strong technical background in areas such as machining, stamping, plastics, and PCBA processes (IPC 610).
  • Demonstrate self-starter qualities and maintain passion for independently tackling complex issues.
  • Serve as a consultant to Suppliers, Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to enhance processes and product quality.
  • Exhibit strong communication, quantitative, and analytical skills, alongside the ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex situations effectively.
