Special Needs Assistant Substitute Panel
Louth and Meath Education & Training Board (LMETB) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the formation of a panel of Substitute Special Needs Assistants (SNAs) to fill temporary/ short-term cover at short notice in LMETB schools across Meath & Louth.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

• Applicants must have attained a QQI level 3 major qualification on the national framework of qualifications or a minimum of three grade D's in the Junior Cert or equivalent.
• Applicants must have attained a QQI Level 5/6 Component Certificate in Special Needs Assisting or equivalent major qualification on the National Framework of Qualifications

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Following upload of application, applicants will be required to submit original copies of their qualifications and complete Garda Vetting before being placed on the panel.

It is intended to form a panel from which ongoing, fixed-term and part-time Special Needs Assistant vacancies that arise during the lifetime of the panel may be filled. Inclusion on the panel is subject to LMETB Garda Vetting. LMETB Garda Vetting will be sought in accordance with the National Vetting Bureau Act, 2014. This process will commence prior to appointment. Appointment to LMETB is subject to receipt of a satisfactory disclosure from the National Vetting Bureau. Please note that the Garda Vetting disclosure must be in place prior to commencement.

All SNA positions are subject to the position not being required under the National SNA Redeployment Scheme operated by the NCSE with the support of the Department of Education and Youth.
