Job summary

Sungrow Ireland is seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer on a 2-year temporary contract to keep clean-energy systems performing at their best across the country.

You will deliver on-site commissioning, maintenance and repair for Sungrow solar inverters and energy storage solutions, diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance and support customers with clear technical guidance.

Qualifications

• You hold a qualification in electrical engineering, electronics, renewable energy or a related technical field.
• You bring hands-on field service experience in commissioning, maintenance or technical support, ideally within solar, storage or power electronics.
• You can read electrical drawings and use diagnostic tools safely with low- and medium-voltage systems.
• You enjoy solving problems independently while keeping customers informed.
• You are willing to travel regularly across Ireland and hold a valid driving licence.
• You communicate clearly in English at C1 level; additional European language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site commissioning, maintenance and repair services for Sungrow solar inverter and energy storage solutions.
• Diagnose technical issues through remote monitoring, on-site testing and structured troubleshooting.
• Carry out preventive maintenance activities to maximise system availability, safety and performance.
• Support customers, EPC partners and service providers with clear technical guidance and practical solutions.
• Document service activities, findings and corrective actions accurately in the relevant reporting systems.
• Work closely with technical support, project and sales teams to ensure an excellent customer experience.
