Job summary

Equifax is seeking a capable software engineer in Dublin to develop and operate high-scale applications across backend and UI layers. You will participate in agile ceremonies, write clean code, and apply modern practices including serverless, microservices, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.

You should have 3+ years in Java, Python and JavaScript, with experience in RESTful APIs, cloud platforms, and modern frontend frameworks like Angular or React.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years experience with Java, Python and Javascript.
• Experience with AI tooling such as CoPilot, Gemini, Claude, MCP, SpecKit.
• 3+ years experience with Maven or Gradle.
• 3+ years experience designing and consuming HTTP/RESTful APIs.
• 3+ years experience with Angular, React or similar frameworks.
• 3+ years experience with Cloud technology: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• 3+ years experience with testing, performance and quality assurance.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles and clean code.

Responsibilities

• Perform general application development activities including unit testing and documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues.
• Participate in estimation, requirements reviews, and project planning.
• Document code and processes for easy handover.
• Develop and operate high scale applications from backend to UI.
• Apply serverless, microservices, CI/CD and IaC practices.
• Collaborate across teams to integrate systems.
• Contribute to technology roadmap and architecture discussions.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
• Triage issues and drive resolution with a focus on service quality.
