Job summary

The International team at Cpl Group is looking for a talented Software Engineer II to join the first engineering team in Ireland and contribute to product initiatives for the Canadian and UK markets.

You’ll be responsible for the full software development lifecycle across frontend and backend, collaborating with Engineering and Product peers to design innovative solutions for dealer-facing products using Java, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, and AWS.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Experience building full-stack applications with frameworks similar to Spring Boot, NextJS, Express, ASP.NET, Django, or Rails.
• Ability to write clean, well-tested, and efficient code that passes through code review with minimal comments.
• Additionally, engage with code reviews by giving and receiving feedback to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• The ability to iterate and ship ideas quickly and independently. Self-led and motivated to proactively find answers and resolve blockers.
• Experience leveraging AI tools.
• Bonus: Experience using AWS services and knowledge of microservice architectures.

• Collaborate with engineers and product managers across the organization to understand and solve new product requirements and tackle technical challenges.
• Work with Java, Spring Boot, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, AWS, and other modern technologies to build consumer and dealer products.
• Collaborate on system design and write well-crafted code to help evolve our service-oriented architecture.
• Be deeply engaged in the full development lifecycle: designing, developing, testing, automated testing, deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and alerting.

Role overview

The International team is seeking a talented and driven Software Engineer II to join the first engineering team in Ireland and work on exciting product initiatives for our Canadian and UK markets.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the full software development lifecycle – across both the frontend and backend – collaborating with Engineering and Product peers to design innovative solutions and tackle complex challenges for our dealer-facing products.

We are looking for candidates who are able to learn and adapt quickly, and collaborate with other engineers to deliver solutions.

• Building new, full-stack features for dealer products from the ground up Integrating with existing services and expanding functionality using React, TypeScript, and Java
