Job summary

QT Technologies Ireland Limited in Cork is seeking a software engineer for our Front-End CAD Team to develop software tools that enable next-generation design flows. You will join the Global SoC organization at Qualcomm to work on design automation and reference flows for advanced SOCs.

The role focuses on delivering software across RTL to GDSII-style flows, collaborating with a distributed team and contributing to code quality, debugging, and process improvements in a fast-paced engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
• 3+ years’ experience with Python programming language

Responsibilities

General Summary: The Global CAD team defines and enables the RTL to GDSII flows for variety of advanced low power and high performance SOCs, enabling state-of-the-art chipsets from Qualcomm.

We are looking for a software engineer for our Front-End CAD Team in Cork. You will join the Global SoC organization at Qualcomm to develop software tools that enable next-generation design flows.

You will:

• Develop software for design automation and reference flows
• Execute and deliver project goals in a timely manner
• Resolve issues in all phases of development to assure smooth project execution
• Collaborate with other members of the development team to ensure code quality
• Identify and suggest improvements to existing working methodology, QA process, compilation environment, documentation
• Provide tool support and issue debugging services to design teams

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or computer science
• 3+ years’ experience with Python programming language

We would love to see:

• Background in software engineering (background in EDA is a plus)
• Experience with Git SCM, strong Linux skills
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
• Knowledge of C++ programming languages is a plus
• Knowledge of RTL (Verilog, System Verilog) and design verification domain is a plus
• Ability to work in a geographically distributed development environment
• Good communication skills and personal skills in a multi-disciplinary, fast-paced engineering environment
