Job summary

Camphill Communities of Ireland is seeking a Social Care Worker to join the Carrick on Suir Community in Co Tipperary. Salary: 39,088-56,349 per annum.

This permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week) offers a competitive salary and the chance to contribute to a leading national organisation. You will work as part of a committed team, supporting adults with disabilities in residential and day services, with Garda Vetting and CORU registration processes in place.

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework - BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
• CORU registration or proof of application is in progress.
• Have 1 year experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
• Understanding of national policy and developments in Social Care within disability services.
• Ability to follow, evaluate and contribute to plans to meet ongoing needs.
• Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
• Full driving licence and access to own car is essential.

Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) supports people with physical/intellectual disabilities and autism. CCoI operates Residential and Day Services across 15 locations, in which residents and day-attendees are supported to live an ordinary life, a life like any other.

We are currently recruiting for Social Care Workers to join our Carrick on Suir Community, Co Tipperary

Job Title: Social Care Worker

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Fulltime (40 hours per week)

Salary: 39,088-56,349 per annum

What you will need:

• CORU registration or proof application is in progress

• An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.


• An ability to follow, evaluate and contribute to the further development of plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of individuals supported.


• Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.


• Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.


• A full driver's licence and availability of own car is an essential requirement.
