Job summary

A trusted care provider in Tralee is seeking compassionate Social Care Workers for full-time and part-time opportunities. Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and meal preparation.
  • Support clients with Alzheimer's and Dementia.
  • Supervise medication and assist with light housework.
  • Offer emotional and social support.
  • Collaborate with care team and monitor client progress.
  • Report and record any incidents.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety regulations.

Bluebird Care is a trusted care provider delivering high-quality, person‑centred support. We are currently recruiting compassionate Social Care Workers to join our dedicated team in Kerry & West Cork.

Salary
  • €14.50 per hour (Monday‑Saturday)
  • €15.50 per hour (Sundays)
Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care, meal preparation, toileting, moving and transferring
  • Support clients with Alzheimer's, Dementia, and high dependency needs
  • Supervise medication and assist with light housework/basic shopping
  • Offer emotional and social support
  • Collaborate with the care team and monitor client progress
  • Report and record any incidents
  • Adhere to Health and Safety regulations
Requirements
  • Degree level 7/8 in Social Care, Social Studies, or related discipline
  • Registered or eligible for registration with CORU
  • Full clean driving licence and access to own transport
  • Knowledge of New Directions Services and Supports for adults with disabilities is advantageous
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Fluent English, written and spoken
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to changing circumstances and shift patterns
  • Must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland
