Corlann is seeking a proactive Social Care Worker for Adult Intellectual Disability Services in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. The role involves supporting individuals in daily life, promoting independence, and helping develop personalised plans in home or day service settings.

The package includes competitive pay (€41,260 - €57,789 pro-rata per annum), 22 days annual leave, pension, flexible hours and full training, with a view to future vacancies via a panel. Closing date 14th October 2026.

Social Care Worker - Adult Intellectual Disability Services

Contract type: Permanent and Temporary vacancies

Hours: Full Time, working 78 hours per fortnight. A panel may also be formed, from which we will fill future full time and part time vacancies.

Location: Clonmel, Co. Tipperary

The role of a Social Care Worker

Social Care Workers fulfil a key supportive and advocative role for individuals supported by the service. The Social Care Worker’s role is to support the person in all aspects of their life focusing on the individual's ability and promoting independence and development of skills. They assist in all aspects of the practical tasks associated with the daily life of the person supported either in their home or within a day service setting. The Social Care Worker will assist and support people who use the service with the development of their individual person centred plan and the achievement of associated outcomes, and critically, will support people who use the service to make informed choices and fulfil their potential. They will encourage participation in the community through inclusive and creative thinking, seek opportunities for new experiences and help individuals make their own, informed choices.
