University College Cork invites applications for a permanent Lecturer (Below the Bar) in Social Care within the School of Applied Social Studies. The appointee will undertake research and research-led teaching on the Social Care Programme and across the School, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, student supervision and wider academic duties.

The successful candidate will demonstrate ability in teaching, research and engagement, with CORU registration or eligibility to apply

Qualifications

• Must have CORU registration or eligibility to apply and secure CORU Social Care registration within 6 months of appointment.
• Garda vetting and/or international police clearance may form part of the selection process.
• Duties include research, research-led teaching and contributions to the School and wider community.

Responsibilities

• Teach on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Supervise student research.
• Contribute to collegial and administrative work of the School.
