Camphill Communities of Ireland is recruiting Social Care Assistants for a maternity leave contract at our Kilcullen location. This full-time role (40 hours/week) offers a competitive salary of €34,884–€43,193 per annum and requires QQI Level 5 and experience with vulnerable adults. A driving licence and car are essential.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Major Award (or equivalent) is required.
• At least 1 year experience working with vulnerable adults or those with intellectual disabilities.
• Understanding of current national policy and developments in social care within disability services.
• Ability to follow plans and methods to meet individuals' ongoing needs.
• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Proficient IT skills including MS Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• Full driving licence and access to own car is essential.

Social Care Assistants

Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) supports people with physical/intellectual disabilities and autism. CCoI operates Residential and Day Services across 15 locations, in which residents and day-attendees are supported to live an ordinary life, a life like any other.

We are currently recruiting for Social Care Assistants to join our team on a Maternity leave contract.

Job Title: Social Care Assistant

Contract: Maternity leave cover

Hours: Fulltime (40 hours per week)

Salary: €34,884- €43,193 per annum

What you will need:

• Hold a minimum of a QQI Level 5 Major Award on the QQI Framework - BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Community/Heath or Social Care.
• Have 1 years' experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
• An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
• An ability to follow plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of the individuals supported.
• Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• A full driver's licence and availability of own car is an essential requirement.
