Job summary

Kilwex Limited, based in Naas, Co. Kildare, is seeking experienced shuttering carpenters for immediate start at their Naas facility and various sites across Ireland. The role involves constructing, installing, and repairing wood, steel and concrete structures, reading blueprints, and adhering to safety procedures.

Minimum 3 years’ shuttering carpentry experience required; no formal academic qualifications are needed. On-the-job training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Shuttering Carpenter.
• There are no minimum academic requirements; no formal qualification is required.
• Further training will be provided on-the-job as required.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and repair a variety of commercial and industrial structures and fixtures using wood, steel and concrete.
• Assemble and create wooden elements for the construction of buildings.
• Cut, shape, assemble, erect and maintain various types of structures and fittings made from wood and other materials.
• Make, alter and repair woodwork at a workbench or on a construction site.
• Construct, erect and install heavy-framed wooden structures on building sites.
• Fit, assemble and alter internal and external fixtures of buildings such as walls, doors, frames and panelling.
• Interpret 2D & 3D plans and create wood joints; install wood elements in structures.
• Familiar with construction health and safety procedures.
