The Role.

We’re seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (Azure) who brings a strong background in both development and operations, with hands on coding experience and advanced troubleshooting capabilities.

Key responsibilities:

Core responsibilities for this level include but are not limited to:

• Proven experience in both software development and systems operations, not a pure DevOps person, they must have developed and been part of the problem‑solving world during outages.
• Strong foundation in modern observability practices and tooling
• IaaC expertise, particularly with Terraform
• Production grade experience with container orchestration and cloud‑native technologies (primarily Microsoft Azure)

Technical Requirements:

Observability & Monitoring

• Experience implementing and managing comprehensive monitoring solutions
• Proficiency in setting up logging pipelines and alert management systems
• Ability to define meaningful SLIs, SLOs, and alert thresholds
• Experience with modern APM and observability platforms

Infrastructure & DevOps

• Strong Terraform expertise, including multi‑provider configurations and module management using git submodules etc.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Knowledge of modern database systems and management
• Experience with IAM and access management automation

Operational Excellence

• Strong background in incident management and response
• Experience conducting thorough root cause analysis
• Track record of implementing reliability improvements
• Experience with on‑call rotations and emergency response

Preferred Skills:

Advanced Observability

• Design and implementation of composite monitoring solutions
• Experience with user‑journey based monitoring
• Ability to create custom monitoring solutions for complex services
• Expertise in baseline establishment and threshold optimization

Development & Automation

• Proficiency in Java, Python and Terraform
• Experience with GitHub Actions, particularly self‑hosted runners on AKS/EKS/GKE.
• Ability to read and debug Java and .NET applications
• Experience automating routine operational tasks

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with GenAI integration and dataset training
• Knowledge of AI agent architecture and implementation
• Understanding of AI applications in SRE contexts (Kubernetes, monitoring, incident management)

• Relevant experience delivering technical analysis and review
• Site Reliability Engineering & Cloud Engineering experience
