Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited (‘"Dairygold"’), is a leading Irish farmer owned Dairy, Nutritionals and Agri Co-Operative, generating a turnover of c. €1.4bn and employing 1,300 people across its business activities in Ireland, UK, Mainland EU, and Asia.

Location: Castlefarm, Mitchelstown, Co, Cork

Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Site Quality Lead Castlefarm. The Castlefarm Site Quality Lead is responsible for driving and maintaining best practice quality and food safety standards for the Castlefarm site. They will co-ordinate all the activities of the site with the quality team and liaise with the wider site team to define and meet customer and regulatory standards, compliance and quality KPIs through communication & coaching of our internal customers. The Castlefarm Site Quality Lead has overall responsibility within the site team to manage food safety, authenticity, legality and quality.

Responsibilities:

Customer

  • Owner of Quality Management and Food Safety System
  • Site point of contact for customer visits and audits (including internal audits)
  • Develop and manage relationships with key strategic customers.
  • Manage all aspects of Product grading and release.
  • Quality voice for product development and innovation (Stage Gate & Spec review)
  • Assign and complete investigations into customer issues/improvements.
  • Responsible for developing the food safety plan and re-analysis of the plan. Food Safety & HACCP Team Leader.
  • Developing the site’s food defence plan conducting a vulnerability assessment, identifying mitigation strategies and conducting a re-analysis of the plan. Food Defence & TACCP Team Leader.

Communication

  • Report and drive Quality performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis at the relevant forums and report to Head of Quality and Site Manager

Compliance

  • Drive and measure close out of technical issues, NC’s, CAPAs, Supplier issues, Hygiene, Documentation, Pest Control.

Certification

  • Maintain FSSC, HALAL, Kosher certification and DAFM standards.

Continuous Improvement

  • Manage and continuously improve the Quality Management System for the site.

Quality Culture & Coaching -

  • Develop and instill Food Safety behaviours across the site.

People

  • Coach, develop, train and up-skill employees to enhance knowledge and understanding.
  • Assign and develop team members through relevant projects, problem solving events and meetings.
  • Food safety is your responsibility

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Quality Management in Dairy, Food, Pharma, or equivalent sector.
  • 3rd Level science qualification in relevant discipline.
  • Excellent people skills are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Be a team player.
  • Performance driven with a proven ability to work on own initiative.
  • A positive, can-do, resilient and flexible attitude.
  • Good writing and coaching skills.
  • Self-motivated with a drive to meet targets and achieve results.
