Brookville Center for Children's Services is seeking a Residence Worker to oversee daily activities at the site, coordinating volunteers and staff, including care of animals and horticulture programs.

The role requires a high school diploma, preferred Bachelor’s in Human Services, and experience with people with developmental disabilities. Strong communication skills and a valid NYS driver license are also preferred, with safety trainings encouraged.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s in Human Services preferred.
• Minimum one year experience supporting people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities preferred.
• Good oral and written communication and Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.
• Qualified NYS driver license maintained during employment.
• AMAP/CPR/First Aid/SCIP-R and defensive driving training preferred.

Mansioni

• Develops individualized habilitation plans with program volunteers and ensures all required documentation is completed and maintained.
• Coordinates on-site and community-based activities for volunteers.
• Directly supervises Assistant Manager and DSPs.
• Oversees transports to and from the program and to volunteer locations.
• Maintains communication with parents and service coordinators regarding progress and needs.
• Provides direct support services to program volunteers as needed.
• Oversees care of animals (horses, goats, etc.) and grounds/horticultural initiatives.
• Ensures safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions; documents issues and orders supplies.
• Trains and supports volunteers for assigned tasks and responsibilities.
