Job summary

A leading construction recruitment agency is seeking a Site Engineer for a residential project in Co. Meath. The ideal candidate will oversee subcontractors, help ensure high-quality project delivery, and possess strong leadership skills. A degree in Engineering and at least five years of experience in a similar role are required. The company offers a competitive salary between €50,000 and €65,000.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior role with a main contractor/developer in Ireland.
  • Ability to use setting out instruments is essential.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications.

Responsibilities

Job Title – Site Engineer/ Setting Out Engineer

Project – Residential

Job Location – Co. Meath

Salary – €50,000 - €65,000

About the Company

Leading Main Contractor/ Developer with a reputation for delivering high volume residential developments across the North Dublin/ Meath Region.

They require a setting out engineer for a new high value high volume housing development in Meath – long term work in the area for an enthusiastic engineer who wants to work as part of a team to deliver high quality projects.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead and motivate staff while supporting the Project Manager to ensure the project is completed to a high standard, on time and in budget.

Successful person will oversee subcontractors works, set out, work with design team & architect, assist with quality management & inspections, use procore etc.

The Role
  • Monitoring works as required for the project and ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
  • Work with design team to identify any issues that may arise and help deal with them in a timely manner.
  • Interpreting drawings and setting out works
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and personnel on site in in the planning and construction of the project.
  • Support the Project Manager/ Contracts Manager to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
  • Manage a team of engineers to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
  • Lead and motivate a team of staff to ensure productivity levels on site are high.
  • Supervise works.
Requirements
  • A Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior role with a main contractor/ developer in Ireland.
  • Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint.
