Job summary

Walls Construction is seeking a Site Engineer to support the Construction Management Team on-site, overseeing setting out, quality control, and coordination of activities to meet project specifications and standards.

You will monitor concrete quality, inspect formwork and reinforcement, and maintain meticulous site records while ensuring health and safety compliance. The role offers progression opportunities within the organization.

Qualifications

• A relevant Engineering qualification with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience working with a building contractor.
• Strong IT skills and a good working knowledge of surveying instruments and site equipment.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and solutions-focused, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Candidates demonstrating commitment and capability can expect strong opportunities for progression within a short timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out, levelling, and quality control activities, including monitoring concrete quality through cube sampling, slump testing, and related procedures.
• Inspect shuttering, reinforcement, and dimensional accuracy prior to concrete pours, and maintain accurate materials reconciliation records.
• Maintain comprehensive records of site activities, including site diaries, quality documentation, and the uploading of relevant information to the Document Management System (DMS).
• Supervise directly employed staff and subcontractors involved in various aspects of the construction process.
• Ensure full compliance with the Company's health & safety, environmental, quality, and operational policies and procedures at all times.
