Job summary

Applegreen is a leading roadside hospitality retailer with 600+ locations across Ireland and the United States. We are seeking a Shop Manager to join our front-line operations and help deliver excellent guest experiences.

You will work with the Site Director to operate the site per our manual, drive sales, manage cash and stock, and lead and train employees in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for development and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication skills and enjoy interacting with customers.
• Ability to train, coach and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Operate the site in accordance with Applegreen’s operations manual, policies and procedures.
• Assist in driving sales and achieving sales targets.
• Perform cash management, stock control and staff training duties.
• Take responsibility for the site when the Site Director is absent.

As a Shop Manager at Applegreen, you will be a crucial part of our front-line operations.

What will I be doing as a Shop Manager at Applegreen?

• As a Shop Manager, you will work alongside the Site Director, you will be responsible for operating the site in accordance with Applegreen’s operations manual, policies and procedures.
• Assist in driving sales and achieving sales targets.
• Perform various administrative tasks to ensure the store’s highest performance, including cash management, stock control, and motivating and leading employees by assisting in their training, coaching and development.
• To assume responsibility for the site when the Site Director is absent.

An Applegreen Shop Manager would ideally:

• Have previous experience of 1-2 years in a similar role.
• Have a can-do attitude who has strong communication skills and enjoys interacting with customers.
• Ability to work well with colleagues, contributing to a positive team environment.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
