Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Commodity Manager (Sheet metal) to lead sourcing strategy and supplier management for EMEA. Based in Piove di Sacco, Italy, you will drive cost optimization, support compliance, and coordinate cross-functional teams to improve on-time delivery and financial performance.

You will analyze costs, leverage eSourcing tools, and collaborate with R&D and Materials to maximize project savings while ensuring adherence to company policies and ESG goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related fields.
• Strong analytical mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Team-oriented with good communication skills.
• Proactive attitude and interest in procurement.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop the sourcing strategy and deploy it in line with the business plan.
• Manage suppliers and resources to achieve goals and objectives.
• Meet with suppliers to upgrade service levels and performance.
• Support trade, import/export and environmental compliance programs.
• Oversee adherence to Vertiv policies in contracts with suppliers.
• Implement approved recommendations and ensure SOP compliance.
• Coordinate data analytics for costing and price management (eSourcing).
• Facilitate collaboration between R&D, Materials and suppliers for savings.
• Help resolve material shortages.
