Woodston Personnel Ltd. is seeking a Consultant Vascular Surgeon to join a progressive surgical network in Ireland. The post involves leading open and endovascular procedures, delivering inpatient and emergency care, and participating in outpatient clinics and multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes governance, quality improvement, and trainee education, with opportunities for clinical research within a modern vascular department and state-of-the-art facilities.

Qualifications

• Full registration on the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners (MCI) in Vascular Surgery or eligible for immediate registration.
• FRCS in Vascular Surgery or equivalent higher specialist qualification.
• Broad expertise in open and endovascular techniques with proven surgical competence.
• Compliance: CPD, Garda Vetting, Occupational Health assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform the full spectrum of open and complex endovascular procedures (EVAR/TEVAR, carotid endarterectomy, peripheral revascularisation).
• Oversee inpatient and emergency vascular care and participate in regional on-call rota.
• Conduct general and specialist outpatient clinics with vascular imaging and ultrasound interpretation.
• Collaborate with MDTs across Interventional Radiology, Diabetology, Nephrology, and wound care for integrated patient management.
• Drive governance, audit, risk management, and service development initiatives.
