LSports is a world-leading sports data provider, trusted by sportsbooks worldwide to deliver real-time data with unmatched accuracy and reliability. We are looking for a talented Senior Trader to join our trading team in Ireland and help shape the future of sports betting.

You will configure markets, monitor risk, onboard clients to DEFEND, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Trader or Risk Manager in sportsbook operations or B2B data/betting suppliers.
• Hands-on in market configuration, liability management, limit setting, and bet delay parameters.
• Strong data skills with reporting and BI tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau).
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities with external clients.
• Collaborative, agile team player who helps set quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and update market, limit, and tier configurations as events unfold.
• Analyze trading and risk reports to optimize limits.
• Onboard clients onto DEFEND and align trading priorities.
• Lead performance review calls with sportsbook leadership.
• Collaborate with Data Science to refine segmentation and risk algorithms.
• Shape product roadmap with Product and Engineering.
• Travel to client sites for platform training.

What You’ll Do

• Set up, maintain, and dynamically update market, limit, and tier configurations for client sportsbooks as live sports events unfold.
• Analyze complex trading and risk performance reports to optimize client, market, and competition limits.
• Onboard new client sportsbooks onto DEFEND (LSports’ proprietary risk product) and execute their customized trading priorities.
• Lead regular performance review calls directly with sportsbook client leadership.
• Collaborate closely with internal Data Science teams to refine player segmentation, bet scoring, and risk algorithms.
• Serve as the in-house voice of the trader to shape the product roadmap alongside Product and Engineering teams.
• Travel to client sites to deliver platform training and consult on sportsbook strategies.
• Train global colleagues and run trading knowledge-sharing sessions across the organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Trader or Risk Manager within a sportsbook operator or a B2B sports data/betting supplier.
• Hands-on proficiency in market configuration, liability management, limit setting, and bet delay parameters.
• Data-driven mindset: highly proficient in reporting and data tools (e.g., Advanced Excel, SQL, and BI dashboards like Power BI or Tableau) to identify trends and actionable insights behind numbers.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, comfortable interfacing directly with external clients and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborative team player who excels in an agile environment and helps set operational quality standards.

Bonus Points if you have:

• Deep trading expertise across diverse sports and specialized market types beyond football/soccer.
• Direct experience with risk management tooling, machine learning player segmentation, or automated bet scoring models.
• Experience supporting sportsbooks operating in non-European regulated markets (e.g., US, LATAM, APAC).
