Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Senior Sustainability Environmental Advisor for its Galway office, with potential base in Kildare. The role focuses on delivering environmental improvements, decarbonisation strategies, and sustainability reporting across major construction and civil projects.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a sustainability function within construction, strong knowledge of ISO 14001, and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in environmental or sustainability within construction or civil engineering.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and decarbonisation strategies.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and sustainability reporting requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver environmental improvements and coordinate risk mitigation on projects.
• Coordinate with ES team to provide monthly environmental reports.
• Support bidding, tender submissions and client engagement related to sustainability.
• Lead training and awareness sessions for project teams on environmental topics.
