Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is looking for passionate software engineers for their Dublin office, focused on enhancing the Atlas API platform. You'll be responsible for proposing features and tooling to assist users, collaborating effectively with a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Golang, Java, Python, or Javascript/Typescript.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling is advantageous.

Job description

The Atlas API Experience (APIx) teams are part of the company Atlas Data Services, a diverse group of individuals who develop the capabilities to run the company globally (see the company Atlas). Our software and services allow users to deploy fault-tolerant, scalable, globally distributed the company clusters in minutes. APIx’s mission is to create delightful experiences that bring developers along on the journey from eager beginner to sophisticated the company expert!

As part of our team in APIx, you will be responsible for improving & extending our API platform & downstream tooling, such as the Atlas CLI. Our mission is to help Atlas customers automate their workloads easily through APIs & support internal teams contributing to the API.

We are looking for passionate, intrinsically-motivated software engineers who consistently work to grow their skills and want to take their careers to the next level. No prior experience with the company technologies is required! During interviews, you will meet most of our team and have the opportunity to ask questions about working at the company. This role can be based in our Dublin office or remotely within Ireland.

What will you do?

• Propose, design, implement and support product features for the the company Atlas API Platform & the company Atlas DevTools, such as AtlasCLI
• Build tooling that enables the company users and developers to succeed, using programming languages such as Golang, Java, Python & Javascript/Typescript (Experience in at least one of the above is desirable)
• Design and develop software integration components utilizing the company’s technology (i.e. database, mobile, search, etc.) in larger contexts and integrate into partner frameworks or solutions
• Incrementally ship elements of sophisticated projects
• Assist with investigating and solving problems experienced by our customers. Our team has a Level 2 support rotation
• Apply our core values to your planning, designing, and coding work

How will you measure success?

• In three months, you'll have become familiar with our developer tools and the existing features most relevant to integrations
• In six months, you will be building features and leading your projects. You will share knowledge with the team, collaborating where needed to achieve our team goals
• In nine months, you will be fully embedded in the team. As well as leading your projects, you will be contributing ideas to the team roadmap, improving how we work. You will be mentoring other team members, helping them learn from your experience
