Job summary

Fruition Group Ireland is assisting a financial services client in Dublin seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead complex technical initiatives and contribute to scalable, secure software solutions. You will shape architecture, mentor engineers, and drive end-to-end feature delivery across backend, frontend, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering, in a senior or lead capacity.
• Backend development with Python and FastAPI/Flask/Django.
• Frontend experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience building APIs and scalable distributed systems.
• Experience deploying cloud-native or serverless apps in AWS.
• Experience delivering CI/CD pipelines and cloud infra.
• Knowledge of secure, maintainable software architectures.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and cross-functional delivery.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
• Exposure to GitHub Actions or similar automation tooling.
• DevOps and infrastructure automation exposure.
• Background in regulated/financial services is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex software solutions across backend, frontend, and cloud systems.
• Drive architectural improvements for scalability, resilience, and performance.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analyses, and implement preventative measures.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve cross-functional challenges in systems and delivery.
• Mentor engineers on coding standards and technical problem-solving.
• Contribute to design reviews and guide long-term engineering decisions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to boost delivery efficiency.
• Partner with product, design, QA, and operations for end-to-end feature delivery.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Influence improvements in tooling, deployment practices, and engineering standards.
