Job summary

BearingPoint Ireland is seeking a talented Software Architect to lead the technical design of client solutions across industries. In a manager-level role, you will drive scalable, resilient architectures and mentor delivery teams while contributing hands-on where appropriate.

You will partner with Product Teams, Solution Architects and clients to translate business requirements into robust architectural artifacts, ensuring quality, security and production readiness throughout the delivery

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with 5+ years in architecture or tech lead.
• Deep technical expertise in modern .NET (Core/6+) or Java (Spring Boot/Quarkus).
• Strong cloud experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in microservices, event-driven architecture, API-first design, and DDD.
• Experience with enterprise integration patterns, messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and API gateways.
• Solid knowledge of software security architecture principles.
• Ability to create artefacts like C4 models, sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams, and ADRs.
• Strong communication for presenting to non-technical clients.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes/AKS/EKS and observability stacks (ELK, Prometheus, AppInsights).
• Experience mentoring architects or technical leads.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall technical quality of delivery, architecture, and production readiness.
• Define and evolve architecture, enforce engineering standards, and provide hands-on leadership.
• Evaluate tech stacks, frameworks, and cloud services aligned to client needs.
• Advise clients on architectural decisions and trade-offs.
• Support pre-sales with solution design and technical proposals.
• Stay current with microservices, event-driven, and serverless patterns.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and capability development.
• Mentor senior developers into architectural thinking.
